ALF Connect is an initiative of ALF National serving the eight active ALF chapters and 5,000+ Senior Fellow graduates. In addition to accessing ALF Connect at https://connect.alfnational.org, you can download the “ALF Connect” app on the App Store or Google Play.

Interact with your classmates, other Senior Fellows from your chapter, and others from chapters around the US in an online community only for graduates of the unique ALF Fellows Program. Take advantage of today’s best online tools for event registration, online conversations, private groups, and people search on this private invitation-only platform accessible by computer or smartphone.

If you are an ALF Senior Fellow, check your inbox for an email from connect@alfnational.org with subject “Activate your ALF Connect account today!” Simply click the “Activate your account” button at the button of that email. To see a video demonstrating this, click here.

Return to ALF Connect at https://connect.alfnational.org. If you don’t remember your password, click “Reset password” and enter your email address. To see a video demonstrating the reset password process, click here.

Send an email to connect@alfnational.org.

Add connect@alfnational.org to the Address Book and/or Safe Sender list with your email provider. Here are instructions for different email providers: https://whitelist.guide.

Top Menu Bar Navigation

Once you’ve logged in, the menu bar at the very top includes shortcuts for people searching, writing posts and check-ins, viewing notifications, and sending direct messages. To see a video showing how to navigate the top menu bar, click here.

Update your Profile Photo and Affiliations & Interests

On the far right of the top menu bar, click the dropdown arrow, select ‘My profile’ and click ‘Edit’ next to each of the sections to complete your profile. Adding a Profile Photo in the top section and completing the ‘Affiliations & Interests’ section will be the most helpful for building our online community. To see a video showing how, click here.

Update your Contact Info and Privacy Settings

Contact information can also be edited by clicking the top right dropdown and selecting ‘My profile’. Click ‘Edit’ next to the ‘Contact’ section on the right. By default, all Senior Fellow contact information is private to the user and admin. Return to the top right dropdown and click ‘My settings’ and ‘Privacy’ to make pieces of your contact info visible to all users. To see a video showing Contact and Privacy updates, click here.

Events, Forums, Groups, and Media Center

Searching using the People Module

Be sure to update your own profile and Affiliations & Interests (top right dropdown and ‘My profile’) to enable the most accurate and robust People search capabilities on ALF Connect. As our colleagues activate their accounts and fill in elements of their profile, People module searches will become the most popular feature on this platform. Click the top right dropdown, click ‘My settings’ and then select ‘Notifications’.
